Nick Merico

Nick Merico

Nick’s first public appearance was in his 5th grade chorus production. He was nervous but his teacher saw something special in Nick and gave him his first solo. After that performance Nick sang at every opportunity he had. He also began playing the piano, the guitar and writing his own music. In a very short period of time others began to take notice of Nick and he has since appeared on several TV networks such as ABC on Charlie’s Angels, Univision, AmericaTeVe, NBC and has been featured in national commercials and magazines. Nick has won quite a few singing competitions, in one receiving the largest number of votes in the history of the televised singing show.

Though Nick was gaining attention for his beautiful voice, he found he also has a gift for acting. Within a year of studying acting Nick was not only pursued by Disney Chanel but eventually landed a lead role on a Nickelodeon TV show called “Every Witch Way” where he plays the character Daniel Miller. Nick just recently wrapped filming season two which is currently airing this July. Season One is currently airing in Europe and will open in Latin America this summer.

Nick is a jokester, fun to be around and easy to talk to… he always looks for someone in the audience to make feel extra special and those are the moments we are most proud of” says his mom Cheryl. Nick volunteers for various city events such as the The Children Home Society, the Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure fundraising concert, and the Magjc Children’s Fund Concert, among many others. When Nick is not performing, he is very active in playing soccer every weekend on a travel team coached by his father Fredy Merico.

When we asked Nick who his favorite singers are it became even more clear why his voice was so beyond his years. Some of his biggest musical influences are Steve Perry of Journey, Bruno Mars, Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban and Marc Anthony.
